Responding to
The Awful Republican Majority

Amen...!!!

I'm surprised there aren't more comments! So many Republicans want Pres. Obama to fail because he isn't one of them, and (mostly quite privately) he is not white.

I continue to be mystified by those with health, however expense or partially effective, don't want everyone to have it.

Brad Sanasac from Yuma, AZ writes:

I agree the republicans are not governing. But I think you miss the point Rush was making. Obama is attempting to move this country to the left. Rush hopes this fails. If a law maker brings forward a law we do not agree with, should we hope they succeed? Of course not. The left in this country insists everyone else is politically correct, while they are vile and hateful.

I think that it is fair to call the Republican Congress a bunch of do-nothings, but it might be worth questioning whether there's anything they could do to help us pass Slovenia.

Americans eat too much, and we eat foods that are chosen badly. We sit in unnecessarily cold air-conditioning, forget to drink water, and end up chronically dehydrated. We make outrageous things like Aspartame legal and convince poor people that they're healthy. We run our desire for painkillers through the medical community, at considerable expense, and to the annoyance of every Doctor I've ever spoken to on the subject. Let's not even discuss our bipolar approach to exercise: we either do none, or we go until we cannot move.

And then we read statistics about our health care system, as though the first word in that description was not (i)health(/i). I'm not certain that this is the case, but our system could very well be the best in the world, and we could just be the most neurotic patients in history.
